Neurosis is an avant-garde sludge band, based in Oakland, CA. Their unique sound draws from influences ranging from hardcore punk in their early days and sludge to dark ambient in their 90s era, as well as incorporating elements of post-rock and folk music to create a kaleidoscopic atmosphere for the listener.
